1. Who we are

PokéPrice ("we", "us", "our") is a Pokémon TCG price comparison platform accessible at pokeprice.gg. We are operated by an individual based in the Netherlands and are therefore subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What data we collect

We collect minimal data to operate the service:

  • Usage data — pages visited, search queries, browser type, IP address. This is collected automatically by our hosting provider (Vercel) for security and performance purposes.
  • Preferences — your dark/light mode preference is stored locally in your browser (localStorage). It never leaves your device.
  • No cookies — we do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

We do not currently collect names, email addresses, or payment information. If user accounts are introduced in a future version, this policy will be updated before that feature launches.

3. How we use your data

  • To operate and maintain the platform
  • To monitor for abuse, fraud, or security incidents
  • To improve performance and user experience

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-party services

  • Vercel — our hosting provider, based in the USA. Vercel may collect server logs including IP addresses. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
  • Pokémon TCG API — we use this public API to retrieve card and price data. No personal data is shared with them.
  • TCGPlayer (affiliate links) — when you click a "Buy on TCGPlayer" link, TCGPlayer may set their own cookies. See TCGPlayer's Privacy Policy.
  • Supabase — our database provider. Card and price data is stored in Supabase infrastructure hosted in the EU.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

As an EU resident you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Object to processing or request restriction
  • Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens)

6. Data retention

Server logs collected by Vercel are retained for up to 30 days. We do not retain any additional personal data beyond what is necessary to operate the service.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
